If you were born in the 80's, or before, you should remember sat wide eyed in front of your TV watching Back To The Future in awe. Remember seeing Marty McFly jumping on the pink wheel-less skateboard that allowed him to escape the bad guys and even travel over water? How many of us dreamed about the day when we could get our hands on the then imaginary technology? Well finally one company has made those dreams a reality, if you can afford $10,000! Never the less the technology is now here and developers can even get their hands on the developer kit!

Arx Pax are a company based in Los Gatos, CA. Founded by Greg Henderson who invented Magnetic Field Architecture (MFA™). Arx Pax are not just involved in making hoverboards, the company have a much larger dream which includes hovering cities that will help to conquer the harshening elements of the world we live in, but for this article, we will focus on the development and progress of the Hendo.

The Hendo is the worlds first real hoverboard and the team are “putting hover technology in YOUR hands” with the hover development kit. The board is to be funded via a KickStarter project which has so far received 2,744 backers and $448,768 with 28days to go, getting its final funding on the 15th of December 2014. A miniature version of the technology known as the Whitebox Developer Kit is available until they are ready to release the full size board to the public, this kit will allow developers to take it apart and build their own cool projects out of it.

As I mentioned earlier the Kickstarter campaign is open for another 28 days and you can get your hands on the developer kit for just $299! For more information check out the related links above and below as well as the images and video that follow. I hope to see this project progress quickly and will keep you up to date with the progress of the world's first hoverboard.
